Don't misunderstand me, I have a wonderful life and am very happy. It's just that, along the way to the idyllic life we've envisioned, we've had to change our plans. We now have two special needs children: Daniel, who is autistic, and Nicholas, who has spina bifida and hydrocephalus.
We love them both dearly, but wish life were easier for them. I invite you to share your stories here...Mom of Two Angelic Boyshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11219881557091095131noreply@blogger.comBlogger1125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-81644616740285307.post-72427686215884364202009-12-31T13:38:00.000-08:002009-12-31T13:38:29.812-08:00Home from the hospital at last....again....Dear friends,

Our wonderful son Nicholas is finally at home from the hospital. This hospitalization lasted 3 1/2 weeks. The poor little guy had four neurosurgeries during that time, several CAT scans, and numerous other tests.

It all started with a fever of 103F, then his shunt started leaking CSF fluid. His pediatrician sent us immediately to the ER, where his neurosurgeon, Dr. Pattisapu was waiting to escort us back to a room. Two hours later, he was in surgery.
Christmas Eve and Christmas were spent in the PSCU at Arnold Palmer Hospital, but that's another story.Mom of Two Angelic Boyshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11219881557091095131noreply@blogger.com1
